Lupita Nyong'o: Why We Love Her
Lupita Nyong'o is a full-blown goddess. The "12 Years of a Slave" actress has managed to defy multiple standards, and has done so humbly and so graciously that you have no choice but to love her.

She is gorgeous.
As a Black woman, it is so refreshing to see a deep brown-skinned woman with a low, natural haircut absolutely slay red carpets. Lupita's dream team - stylist Micaela Erlanger, makeup artist Nick Barose, and hair stylist Ted Gibson - have such a keen eye for detail that have Lupita exuding radiance and elegance that is unmatched.
Lupita has also landed herself as the face of Miu Miu's Spring 2014 campaign alongside Elizabeth Olsen, Elle Fanning, and Bella Heathcote. I absolutely see Covergirl in her future.

She has incredible work ethic (and smarts!)
Lupita is the dream most Black women pursuing the entertainment industry aspire to. She invested in training to perfect her craft (after graduating from Hampshire College, she attended Yale School of Drama), wears many hats (as a writer, director, and producer for "In My Genes", as well as a theater and television actress), and looks great doing it all. Directly after graduating from Yale, she secured her role as Patsy in "12 Years A Slave", and is raking in a slew of awards for her performance. She doesn't have that started-from-the-bottom story women of color her age are portrayed to have nowadays. Lupita hails from a prominent family in Kenya and is multilingual. She is very far from basic, which puts her levels above Beyonce according to this article lol.

She appears to be the sweetest person in the world.
Honestly once Oprah loves you, you're pretty much gold. This awards season, celebrities across the globe have been embracing Lupita Nyong'o - from Jared Leto to Leonardo DiCaprio, Kerry Washington to Julia Roberts. It must be that dazzling smile!
2014 is undoubtedly the breakout year of Lupita Nyong'o. I can't wait to see what projects the future has in store for her.
Are you guys in love with Lupita Nyong'o as much as I am?
