OUTFIT: Kate Spade Saturday for Plus Size

Being in school has been cool as hell. I never thought I'd be able to say I attend the Fashion Institute of Technology, yet alone create incredible brand strategies for some of my favorites. While doing a project on Kate Spade, I discovered Kate Spade Saturday and my life will never be the same.
Kate Spade Saturday is like Kate Spade meets Zara. The price point is significantly lower than Kate Spade, which is great for those who don't have tons of budget to blow on fashion but appreciate it enough to spend money on quality pieces. A week into my project and I was completely obsessed. How had I not known about Kate Spade Saturday before? Why do I keep checking for new arrivals on the site? How can I find a very rich family to adopt me so I can just buy everything? So many questions!
When I started digging into Saturday, I pushed myself away. I didn't see anything fitting me. But I reminded myself that as a plus-size shopper, I like to keep my options open. I always say that plus size shopping is not about the size you wear, but about knowing your body and knowing fabrics well enough to pick clothing that works for you. I can't stress that enough...wear what works for you
Style Tip: It's okay to mix bright colors! My rule of thumb is "keep it in the family". Citrus colors (red, orange, yellow) and berry (purple, blue, green) are great pairings.
Needless to say, I ended up with this trapeze top that I absolutely adore. In an XL, this is such a great shirt that I plan on pairing with many skirts, harem pants, jeans...you name it. It's a light jersey which is just so perfect for summer. And, hello? Gold glitter shoes, anyone?
Have you shopped Kate Spade Saturday? What do you think of it?
