TRAVEL: Shopping in Atlantic City #DoAC
Gucci, Burberry, Louis Vuitton, and Tiffany & Co. are in the shopping center for all of your luxury needs.
We made a pit stop in the Michael Kors store, which is one of my go-to plus-size high end designers. Unfortunately, there were no extended sizes in the store, but some of the MICHAEL Michael Kors pieces were available to buy. Can we talk about this plaid tench coat?
I don't know about you guys, but after I shop I am always hungry! Surprisingly, The Piers Shops has Continental, one of my favorite restaurants from Philly. The Atlantic City location has an incredible fire pit with a beautiful view of the ocean and the boardwalk. The entire floor is so posh!
Unfortunately for me, there weren't very many plus-size options aside from accessories, so I ventured over to Tanger Outlets. There's an array of stores from Banana Republic to Guess and Nine West. I snagged some gorgeous items from Coach (including a pair of heels for $45!), and was able to head to my boyfriend's favorite brand, Kenneth Cole and grab a few items for him. I even had some time to head to Starbucks and sip a soy caramel latte while I watched people shop. It was so nice to get some fresh air and walk around to some of my favorite brands that had items for great prices!

I arrived at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa and beelined to the Borgata Baking Company for a quick bite. I saw a donut sandwich for the first time! Totally not into it, haha.
We obviously weren't able to take pictures at the Borgata Burlesque Show, but I can tell you it was worth going to. It was surprisingly hilarious and just tasteful enough to not feel weird about it if you went with your Mom.
The good vibes kept coming as we danced the night away at Gypsy Bar at the Borgata with My Hero Zero as the band. The ladies and I boogied with great cocktails and Jason O, the My Hero Zero frontman. This band was AWESOME. You know it's a good night when you're sweating at the end!
The next day, Lyuba of Will Cook for Smiles, Shannon of A Girl's Gotta Spa (not pictured), and I headed out for our day on the town. The lobby in the Borgata is so beautiful, it's hard not to take a photo by the glass sculptures!
So, we ended up at Resorts Atlantic City Casino and learned the ins and outs of craps. Let me tell you, gambling is NOT my forte. I'll be a simple lady of the slots next time I decide to go to a casino, haha.
Lyuba was on a mission to get some saltwater taffy, so we took some time to walk around the Atlantic City Boardwalk. It was SUCH a gorgeous day out, and we ended up slipping onto the beach :)
This is view from where we ate at Landshark. I'm telling you, I'd pay for these views alone! Being a city girl, sitting by water and sand is always such a treat.
After shopping for hours, I cleaned up and we had dinner at Robert's Steakhouse in Trump Taj Mahal. It wasn't pretty dark in there, so I didn't get great pictures but I can tell you it's a place you go when you want to impress. The steak is divine and the alcohol selection is nothing to scoff at. Robert's was the beginning of the end of our last night - we ended up killing the dancefloor at mur.mur until 4 am!
All in all, this trip was just what I needed. Atlantic City was a great mix of luxe and homeliness. There's lots of options for every lifestyle here, and is definitely worth the trip - if only for a weekend.
