Flower Power

Before I was into black and white and being super minimalist, I was very into vintage. When the recession hit I was a college student, and going thrifting and shopping vintage on eBay became a way of life for me. There was a jewel of a thrift shop by my house in The Bronx, and the beauty of it was that no one knew any of the brand names. So, hello vintage Escada sweater for $3!

Beacon's Closet in Union Square was another hidden spot for me (and still is). I found this leather DKNY purse, still in its dustbag, for $20. Slowly but surely, I am falling back into my vintage ways.
As I've mentioned before, my closet is so devoid of color. It's painful!
I'm a bit ashamed to tell you that these pictures were shot in September of 2013 during New York Fashion Week. Tineey and I had some downtime and made our way to the Birchbox Lounge to refuel. Sometimes pictures make their way to my computer and disappear into the abyss! Good thing I decided to go through my hard drive today :)
