Want to hear a (sort of) weird story? This dress is vintage to the max - my Mom wore it to her baby shower when she was pregnant with me, then to be worn as she went into labor. I keep this dress around mostly because I'm amazed by how impeccable it is almost 30 years later. It's been through so much!
Speaking of coming full circle - I have a new job! I'm currently working as a visual merchandiser for a plus-size fashion company, which is SO exciting. Years of blogging and schooling have led to this moment, I can't describe just how fulfilled I am. It's a hard job, but I'm doing it!
Now working in the fashion industry means I can wear what I want. Every single day. Having worked in education for so long and being on my feet all day, I've almost forgotten what it's like to wear shoes with any type of heel. GLORY! haha.
Style Tip: Wearing an all-black ensemble is automatic chic. Inject your personal style with interesting silhouettes, textures, and accessories.
By the way, today is my fourth SIGMAVERSARY (see what I did with my poodle pin and pearls?)! I've been a lady of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated since Spring 2011. Time is flying.
