Happiest of Holidays with Hallmark Signature

When I think about 2016, the first word that comes to mind is gratitude. This has been a year of immense stresses (though a lot of wins!) for me, but I wouldn’t have made it without the support of my friends. My friends are like family to me.

With so many ups and downs, my friends have loved me endlessly. I’ve had friends offer to help me out with no expectations. Friends go out of their way to physically be present for me. Friends move around their schedules for me on short notice. That selflessness is beyond appreciated. I am humbled to have them.

So this year, I am thanking my friends with gifts…but not my usual store-bought gifts. I want to thank them with gifts from the heart. During NYFW, I ran into the Hallmark Signature Brand team  and had a wonderful conversation with them. They showed me some incredibly elaborate and saccharinely sweet and thoughtful cards. On the spot, I penned a note to both my grandmother and my mother. Who really handwrites a card anymore? Reminiscing about the feelings I get when I re ceive them, I wanted to give that feeling to someone else.

The art of a handwritten note is lost on this generation. In a time when phones have become our eleventh appendages, to receive a handwritten note is really something special. Human contact is imperative; instinctually we need it to survive. The connection we have with others is what fuels us. I want to share that.

I am someone who lives bold and gold. And I love to gift things that are representative of that. It lets people know that the gift is sincere and it’s coming from me. So when I saw this Hallmark Signature card, I knew this was the one I was sending out this year. This was the one I was thanking my friends with. It’s a small token of my appreciation for them – the least I can do - as I have nothing but an incredible amount of love and respect for these angels in my life.
