Gwynnie Bee's "Adventures in Style"

As a fashion blogger I'm pretty comfortable pushing what is "normal", but there are certain things that I never wear. So when Gwynnie Bee challenged me to take a vintage-feel pussybow blouse for a spin I was up for it, because honestly when else would I wear this? I wore the top for a full day, then GB asked me to give my honest opinion about it. Here's how it went:

I always say a true testament of an outfit is how it travels on the train. Walking across platforms, pushing through people, and bopping up and down the stairs can really test the limits of whether or not an outfit is wearable. This one (surprisingly!) passed the test. I think I was more concerned about my skirt than I was about my shirt, but I found the shirt was pretty breathable - which isn't usually the case with a blouse of this style. Vintage polyester is usually a sweatfest!

Stumptown is one of the best spots in NYC for both coffee and getting work done outside of your house (strong coffee and even stronger wi-fi!). Shirt's still going strong, y'all...

Anyone that knows me will tell you I am always checking my email (at the dinner table, in the bathroom...) so me sitting in the park and actually taking a second is me luxuriating. The blouse held up as I hit "reply all" and saw the taping of a TV show (in NYC, someone's always filming something...).pussybow blouse plus size edgy gwynnie beeOnce I got some work done, it was time to catch a taxi and continue with the rest of my day. Tons of errands and meeting up with my girls when they got off work were on my agenda. Check out Gwynnie Bee's blog post to see how I rated this top! I love being able to try things out for little to no cost and return it back to them for free.
