Bye, Bye Summer!
At Beekman Beer Garden for my friend Emily's birthday
Welp, Labor Day is here - the official end of Summer. Summer will forever be the season of change for me. It's the half-year marker that makes or breaks the next six months, and I made sure to take advantage of it in 2012.
A hug from one of my best friends, Izzy. You will be seeing more from him in the future, I promise!
One of my favorite past times is attending music performances. The major one for me this time around was The Roots at the Tremor Media Summerjam. Last year, Izzy and I saw Lupe Fiasco! That guy I'm with is Damon Bryson, aka "Tuba Gooding, Jr." of The Roots. SUCH a fantastic show.
It's also a time to re-discover (and sometimes discover for the first time) parts of my city. I had NO idea the famous Pepsi-Cola sign was in Long Island City. Such a beautiful part of New York City that many don't know about. I also had a girls weekend with one of my best friends, Vickie. Look at those legs!
There are major conferences in NYC as well, more specifically BlogHer was here this year. I got to hang out with my honey boo boo Tineey, and with Raijean of Swa-Rai blog, who happens to be my Sorority Sister. Speaking of sororities, this is the time for picnics as well!
I also had the time of my life (and honestly, fell to the depths of hell haha) by pushing myself to a new limit. I climbed the top of a mountain in Upstate, NY. When I say my soul almost dropped from beneath me! The struggle getting up there was unfathomable, but the view from the top once I got up there (and caught my breath) was phenomenal.
And really, who can forget Full Figured Fashion Week? Such a defining moment in my blogging experience thus far, I connected with so many incredible women and brands and literally had the time of my life. I'd do it all again in a heartbeat.

I hope your road to the Fall is looking healthy, prosperous, and fabulous. Remember to always take time to reflect on where you are, where you've been, and where you'd like to go.
Cheers!
