BEAUTY: Dripping Blood Manicure
This year is flying by so fast! Can you believe it's already October? The chills have finally gotten comfortable here, which means apple picking, pumpkin patches, and Halloweeeen. I already have my costume ready to go (what can I say? I like to plan ahead!), but wanted to share my tutorial for the Dripping Blood Manicure which has most recently graced the runway during NYFW at the Prabal Gurung SS 2013 show.
For this mani, I used:
Step 1: Paint your base color. There's tons of variations for this manicure. Most use a french manicure base. I opted for a black matte (LA Colors + butterLONDON matte topcoat)
Step 2: Paint a French Manicure tip. I used a bright red from Kleancolor. You can be as neat or sloppy as you want to be. I personally went with the careless route and it's totally fine!
Step 3: Dip your instrument in the polish. Drop a dot arbitrarily on your nail.
Step 4: Drop another dot on your nail and drag up to the french manicure line. You can squiggle these lines, zig-zag, whatever. The grosser, the better.
All done!
