OUTFIT: Duro Olowu for JCP Maxi Dress

NYC is in the midst of the heat wave of the century, with record high temperatures and humidity like you wouldn't believe. Best way to keep cool? Throw on a maxi dress.
The Duro Ololwu for JCPenney collection was one of my favorite designer retail collaborations to date. Olowu is known for infusing his Nigerian roots into his work, meshing beautiful prints and textiles with fun, flirty silhouettes and this collection did not disappoint. It was replete with color, matte sequins and frills.
If you remember, I wore the Duro Olowu circle skirt a few weeks back - I'm serious about loving this collection! Careful when shopping it, it runs a little big. This dress I'm wearing is a Medium (which goes back to what I'm always saying about trying things on and not looking at the label!).
These wedges are RIDICULOUSLY comfortable. The foam platform make it feel like I'm walking on air. Great job, Old Navy.
Styling Tip: In the summer, maxi dresses are very versatile. They can be dressed down with beautiful flat sandals or dressed up with wedges and heels. It all depends on your comfort level!

Outfit Deets:

What are you wearing to keep cool this summer?
