OUTFIT: DanceAfrica in SWAK Designs
Every year, my family and I make our way out to BAM for DanceAfrica (check out posts from previous years here). It's one of my favorite events to hit with my family, and it's a great way to start off summer. I always try to be festive in some kind of ankara print. When I saw this Annabelle multi-wear dress on SWAK Designs' website, I knew it'd be perfect for the occasion.
Would you believe me if I told you this is one of the first times I've worn an off-the-shoulder dress outside? My last time was at FFFWeek 2013 in one of my favorite Rue dresses. I think this summer, I will try to take some fashion risks and wear more one-shoulder/off-the-shoulder pieces. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be :)

Style Tip: Maxi dresses don't need much dressing up! A cute pair of sandals and statement jewelry are all you really need.
