BEAUTY REVIEW: Healing Sunburn with SheaMoisture

Surprise, it's ashy season! I have very dry skin, partially because of the schizophrenic New York air, partially because of genetics, so I'm constantly trying to find new ways to moisturize (and maintain) my skin. When I discovered SheaMoisture, I knew a lot of my problems had been solved.
Upon returning from my trip to the caribbean in March, my skin was SO damaged. No matter what I did, my skin was flaky and I looked like a crocodile. No matter how much lotion I was using, my skin was absorbing it and I was consistently ashy. I got so frustrated until I realized I had a slew of SheaMoisture products in my bathroom.
One thing I remembered was the moisture and seal method for my natural hair - apply oils and seal with creams - so I did just that with my SheaMoisture products. I used the SheaMoisture Lavender & Wild Orchid Hand & Body Scrub to slough off all the dead skin, then sprayed on the SheaMoisture Dry Oil Mist, and sealed with the SheaMoisture Body Butter. I did the moisture and seal method everyday for a couple of weeks and before I knew it, my skin was back to normal. Actually, it was better than usual - my skin was supple and moisturized. I'd never looked better!
Another SheaMoisture secret? The Anti-Aging Moisturizer. The older I get, the more attention I'm paying to my skin. Every night, after I scrub with a cleanser, I apply the moisturizer in an upward motion (applying downward daily leads to pulling and sagging of the skin!). The anti-aging moisturizer is perfect for the summer months where I just put on bronzer and go.
As for my boyfriend? He's recently started growing into his bald head and we've gotten into the routine of shaving his head every few weeks. We use the SheaMoisture African Black Soap Shave Butter Creme before, during, and after the shaving process and we haven't seen any razor bumps (except for once time I was rushing, haha).
*I want to note that I am not being paid for any of this, I just really really love SheaMoisture products! They've become serious staples in my house for both me and the beau.
Do you use SheaMoisture products? Natural ladies, how does it work for your hair? Let me know!
