I'm Engaged!
1. Now I'm totally hooked on Pinterest. I was never big on pinterest, but now the app is on my phone and I'm obsessed with finding pictures and new ideas. I've started pinterest boards for plus size wedding dresses, natural hair wedding hairstyles, and jazz age wedding ideas. Follow the boards if you want to keep up with my planning!
2. I love Jazz Age ANYTHING, so obviously that's the theme I'm going for. Me beau and I met at our school in Harlem and we're both pretty jazzy folks, so I'm going for vintage. I'm thinking pianos, rent parties, singers, bands, all of that. We'll see our budget takes us...
3. I'm a lot more emotional now. I mean VERY emotional. I'm doting on beau so much, I'm experiencing #wombfire on a daily basis (ie: the act of wanting to squeeze and kidnap OTHER people's kids because they are beyond cute), and I just want to buy a home and nest. Is this absolutely insane? Probably.
As time goes on, I know I will feel compelled to speak more on weddings and my experiences as a fiancee/newlywed. Check out my "wedding" tag on the site to stay in the loop. My Facebook friends were pushing me to start a blog, but I didn't see the sense in that when I have one here!
