Eat, Play, Stay: Atlantic City

I don't know if you can tell, but I really like Atlantic City. It's the perfect distance from New York to feel like you're getting a vacation without putting a huge dent in your wallet by going somewhere farther. I'm going to give you the lowdown on some of my favorite places to go and to eat, along with some Yelp reviews!
The night before the Atlantic City Boardwalk Promenade, I made my way to Boardwalk Hall for the Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull concert. What I loved about Boardwalk Hall is that every seat in the house is a good one, you can see everything! Also the space is big enough to feel like a concert, but small enough to feel like an intimate performance. I didn't realize how charismatic Pitbull was, and how FOINE Enrique is! Yesss! We had a great time. (Yelp Review)

Caesars Atlantic City

I'm totally a Harrah's and Borgata girl, but there's nothing like waking up and seeing the beach. On Saturday night, I was jolted out of bed by the glowing sunset because I'd left my blinds open. Can you imagine having a coffee and sitting in your window looking at this? Just gorgeous. If booking a room at Caesar's Atlantic City, make sure to get the Centurion tower! Also, the bathrooms have freaking televisions in the mirrors. Hello! (Yelp Review)

Qua Bath & Spa at Caesars Atlantic City

Wherever I go on vacation, I try to make it to the spa. Riding in a car for two hours to Atlantic City, Qua Bath and Spa was the perfect way to decompress before heading out for dinner and a concert. There are three separate tubs of different temperatures and intensities, an herbal steam room, and a cedarwood sauna. There are also a ton of services to choose from that incorporates Qua's line of beautiful, delicious products. I'm going back, for sure. (Yelp review)

The Iron Room

There's nothing more exciting than eating dinner at the chef's table - unless of course, it's at the chef's table at a winery, complete with wine to complement every course. The Iron Room has close to 450 wines, 200 bourbons and whiskeys, and 90 craft beers, a lot of which are actually distilled in New Jersey. The owners are dedicated to it (and are New Jerseyians themselves).

We had a four course meal of endive salad, foie gras with a french brioche toast, truffle honey, and peach jam (which was INCREDIBLE), a delicious korean hanger steak with brussel sprouts, and a salted caramel chocolate flourless cake. The owners and chef are very much a part of the restaurant and store, and make the trip very worthwhile. (Yelp review)

Wingcraft

When traveling, it's always nice to run into places that remind me of NYC. Wingcraft is the one spot in Atlantic City that just reminds me of a restaurant back home, with it's wooden, kitschy interior and off-the-cuff menu items. Why have an ordinary cider when you can have a cider pulled pork slider with bacon and cheddar? Or a cobb salad with a chipotle sauce? The flatbread was shareable and delicious, and the mozzarella "sticks" were actually patties and were INCREDIBLE. It's right off of the Tanger Outlets area, and is a cool place to lay your bags down and chomp down. (Yelp review)
