Conair Curl Secret and My Natural Hair
During a food-shopping trip to Walmart with bae, I picked up the Infiniti Pro by Conair® Curl Secret® and some tools to get the job done. I'd spoken to my hair guru, Chante of Everything Curvy and Chic, and she'd mentioned that my hair needed to be as straight as possible to achieve optimal styling with the Curl Secret. Unfortunately, there were no Conair Pro 3Q blow dryers around yet (I hear they have low temperatures but faster airflow to reduce heat damage - perfect for natural hair), so I settled on the Velvet Paddle Brush and their curved bobby pins. Then I got to work...
Very rarely do I dry-brush my natural hair, I'm usually a wet finger detangle type of girl. But the velvet paddle brush was actually very excellent in breaking out my knots and there was minimal shedding. I parted my hair into sections and used the section clips, and what I ended up with was a big fluffy afro. Now it was ready for the Infiniti Pro by Conair® Curl Secret®.
I have to admit, the Curl Secret took some getting used to. Ten minutes into using it, I was screaming out "baaaabe!" because I thought my hair was stuck and I'd have to cut it to get it out. What the Infiniti Pro by Conair® Curl Secret® actually does is draw your hair into a heated barrel while simultaneously detangling and curling. The "drawing my hair in" process scared me, but it worked even though it took me two hours because I kept stopping to watch American Horror Story!
The end result of my natural hair using the Infiniti Pro by Conair® Curl Secret®
I absolutely loved the final result! The curls were very defined, and I know the curls will last at least a week in a variation of hairstyles. This is an everyday look for work.
Elegant side updo with natural hair
This hairstyle is a lot more formal, but one I've always wanted to achieve. I love how soft the curls were pulled to the side.
Fun, casual natural hairstyles
These last two hairstyles were a lot more fun and casual and can be done on hair that is a few days old. Either pulling the curls up into a ponytail or pulling them back with a headband works while still rocking bouncy curls!
Want to try out the Infiniti Pro by Conair® Curl Secret® for yourself? Check out Conair's YouTube channel for a tutorial on how to use the curling iron. I probably should have done that, don't make the same mistake I did, haha.
