Vintage in DTLA
I absolutely love California, and I'm so lucky to have one of my best friends, Elann, over there to visit! This past week, I spent my Spring Break in Los Angeles, and I am just dying to go back.
In what's becoming a bit of a tradition, Elann and I head out for a jazzy night of fun on the town. We always end up at The Edison in downtown LA to live out our vintage dreams - burlesque, absinthe and all. Honestly, in another life I was a jazz singer and Elann was a dressmaker, haha. Going to The Edison isn't right without a sequined gown.
Carmakoma has quickly become one of my favorite plus-size brands. They have such a specific point of view and pay such an insane amount of attention to detail - it makes the higher price tag totally worth it (and their sale section has lots of gems!).
Style Tip: When wearing garments with beautiful details (like my sequins above), matching your shoes to the detail make them pop!
