Harlem Coolin' with Kia Chenelle

Living Doll LA Plus
At the top of this year, I'd resolved to do a couple of things - stop wearing so much black and start working with new creatives. Obviously one of those things actually stuck.
Kia Chenelle is a photographer for one of my favorite brand, Demestiks New York, so I jumped at the chance to be shot by her. As always, Harlem did not disappoint us, with many men taking the opportunity to let us know that they were photographers as well, haha.

I love finding new ways to work items in my closet. I opted to wear this sheer maxi dress as a top with a pair of leather pants because it just wasn't quite warm enough to wear on its own.

Now that I live in New Jersey and work mostly in Long Island City, I'm finding it so hard to part with my daily Harlem life. I'm officially no longer an uptown girl :( But so many parts of the neighborhood have stuck with me forever, including this plaza of the unfinished Museum for African Art.

A huge thank you to Ms. Kia Chenelle for the portrait shoot - I can't wait to see more of your magic!
