Our Harlem Wedding

"When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible" - When Harry Met Sally

Almost three weeks later, and we are settling into our married life. We had an incredible wedding weekend and an even more exciting honeymoon in Jamaica (which I will share later!).
Our wedding photographer, Reynoir Lewis, did such an amazing job - these pictures are exactly what I envisioned to capture the day. My favorite shots are in the Harlem penthouse we stayed in, owned by the most magnificent Anita Trehan. She was beyond hospitable and made sure we were comfortable for the weekend. I definitely recommend checking out her spaces.
Our wedding party was full of laughs the entire weekend. Our closest friends from childhood, high school, and college were with us the whole way through. Their support means everything to us.
From the moment I realized what Hubby and I had was real, six or so years ago, I always dreamed that we'd get married in Harlem. I have a slight obsession with ghost of Harlem Renaissance' past, and taking wedding photos under the tracks on 12th avenue was a given. All of my dreams came true.
I'll be sharing more photos this week, talking about my dresses I had two (and my bridesmaids'), City Hall weddings and the like. Be sure to check in the rest of this week to catch up with us!
