Savage X Fenty Plus Size Review
Phew, I have had a whirlwind of a week! Believe it or not, I had the chance to attend the Savage X Fenty release party in NYC so I have the inside scoop on a Savage X Fenty plus size review. Marketed as a size-inclusive brand, I expected everything in the marketing campaigns to be offered up to at least a 3X. Imagine my dismay when I went to go shop all of the fabulous pieces I'd seen only to find the basics and a couple of frilly marabou things in my size. Either way...I am obsessed with the bralettes. It is almost impossible for me to find a bralette that works for my breasts. The way they are cut, there's not usually any support nor enough fabric in general. These Savage x Fenty bralettes work for me because (unlike most bralettes) the straps are adjustable so I can decide how much support I need. Pictured here, I'm a size 36K usually and I'm wearing a 3X in the bralette. I recommend the lace bralette, NOT the racerback bralette. I tried on both and the amount of support in the regular bralette far outweighs that of the racerback one (pictured). The regular bralette is adjustable for all of the strap, the racerback only adjusts a little bit in the back.
I am also so in love with my sheer marabou short robe and flock dot babydoll. They make me feel like a rich, opulent, leisurely woman that gets fancy just for herself. I imagine the woman that wears this also has a dirty martini in one hand and a cigarette in the other. I wear both of them around my house all of the time! The fit is perfect and the design is just my level of extra. Dynasty realness. Whitley Gilbert vibes. So what's my verdict on the Savage X Fenty plus size offering? I think it's a decent shot at the first go 'round. I'm so interested to see what becomes of the size range as the collection grows. There's a huge opportunity here to bring all of Rihanna's fans along on this wild ride. We are ready and willing to spend the money!
In other news, here's a clip of me dancing with Rihanna at the Savage X Fenty launch party because why not?
