Fall 2019 Trends: Western

If you've been following me on my Fall Fashion journey thus far, you've seen this hat a number of times. I feel mysterious whenever I don it. And with Solange's visuals for "When I Get Home" and the overarching #BlackYeehawAgenda, the Western trend has really resonated with me. I think western is one of my favorite Fall trends, come to think of it.

There is something both dramatic and freeing about the Western trend. The wide-brimmed hats ooze of mystery, the fringe says so much while doing just enough, and the boots. The boots! The history the Western trend is steeped in mixed with the "IDGAF because I have more important things to do" attitude really speaks to me. In a way, the utilitarian nature of this trend makes it akin to my city-chic vibe; we all have somewhere to be, doing things bigger than we are, but we want to look good doing it.
