NYC Restaurant Recommendations
I am a fashion girl, but very much a foodie by heart. And there is nothing more I love than a great plate of food in a well-appointed New York City restaurant with a banging playlist. Here is a running list of some of my recommendations:
BROOKLYN
πATTI: a shockingly expensive Korean BBQ spot, but has nice decor and a relatively chill vibe. Food was delicious - this spot is cute for a date night.
πCafe Rue Dix: One of my personal favorite restaurants, Cafe serves Senegalese-fare. The staff is very representative of the Brooklyn we once loved - beautiful, Black and kind. The lamb dibi and the tea service are divine. Truly.
LES
πCervoβs: the seafood here is delicious and interesting, just donβt expect huge portions. The Skate wing is super interesting, and the fried prawns are fun.
FLATIRON
πVinyl Steakhouse: a cute spot - be sure to ask if you can pick a vinyl to play. And skip the Cajun on your steak, you donβt need it.
SOHO/NOHO
πC as in Charlie: A quirky little spot that is a fusion of Korean and American Southern cultures. Portion sizes feel like they could be tapas, but three or four of them can fill a table-for-two up quickly. Highly recommend the oxbone cream pasta, it literally stopped me in the middle of a sentence.
πFish Cheeks: one of the best restaurants in NYC, IMO. The crab fried rice is to die for, and the steamed Thai fish is so, so fresh. A great place to go for a chill vibe and some great food.
πLittle Rubyβs SoHo: The SoHo location is a tight squeeze, but the fire playlist really makes up for it. Loved the warm apple cider, and the shrimp pasta is so, so good. Recommend only going in the warmer months, itβs a bit of a struggle when itβs cold.
πSloaneβs: an IT girl spot in The Manner. Decor is sexy, ambience is really nice, and service is top-notch (everyone that works there is also dressed very well, lol). The chicken nuggets and crab cakes were so good, I got multiple rounds. I definitely recommend these nuggets over COQODAQ.
πKetchy Shuby: This restaurant is such a cute surprise, and they have a speakeasy club attached. Rigatoni is fire and staff is wonderful.
EAST VILLAGE
πUluh Tea House: A nice stop-in while in East Village if you have a hankering for soup dumplings. Donβt skip the duck or the pork belly. Warning: they play a lot of Drake, lol. But the private dining area is gorgeous, and dessert is divine.
MIDTOWN
πBourbon Steak by Michael Mena: literally everything here is delicious. They do a triple French fry flight in lieu of a bread basket here, the herb garlic was my fave. This is an expensive meal, but the ambience and service make it worth it.
πMonkey Bar: a staple that is reminiscent of the old NYC bars. The Caesar wedge is spectacular, and so are the burgers and steaks. Skip the pasta here, but definitely get the desserts. And ALWAYS get the martini.
πPershing Square: with its iconic facade, Pershing Square has surprisingly good food. A great spot to grab a meal around Grand Central, especially for breakfast service.
πWOLF at Nordstrom: so many amazing restaurants have been popping up in department stores lately! WOLF is no exception. The spaghetti is delish.
