ColourPop Ultra Matte & Matte Lipstick Swatches
ColourPop Ultra Matte in "Zipper"
Let's be honest - anyone that is into beauty right now has most likely tried ColourPop Cosmetics. The brand is spreading like wildfire, and I've quickly become an evangelist - especially for their lipsticks. The ColourPop Ultra Matte lipsticks are a staple in my daily beauty routine because of their lasting power; my husband is always happy about it because he can kiss me without getting any on himself (!) and I can make it through an entire day of work with just one application. It's pure witchery at this point.
When shopping for this magic lipstick, I like to have an idea of what it will look like before I purchase it. I search for what the colors look like on different shades of brown skin, and I figured I'd do some swatches to be a resource for women that look like me.
ColourPop Ultra Matte in "Stingraye" and Colourpop Matte in "Creature"
Stingraye never translates in photos, though I really tried! It looks like a pink, but it's actually more of a taupe color. Stingraye looks like a completely different lipstick on everyone I've seen it on. Don't believe me? Check instagram.
Creature is a beautiful deep wine color, perfect for the colder months. It's a bit creamier than the ultra matte, but still lasts. I usually have the reapply once or twice.
ColourPop Ultra Matte in "More Better" and ColourPop Ultra Matte in "Limbo"
More Better is a lot more pink than I'd like, but it's still quite lovely. I can't wait for the Spring to pull this color out more often. Limbo is a serious "cashmere", channeling a full-on 90's moment. I'm obsessed with this color. Note: both of these ultra mattes look creamy, but I just put on a vaseline base to keep my lips moisturized.
ColourPop Crème in "Jonesing" and ColourPop Ultra Matte in "LAX"
The crème lipsticks are so, so soft and velvety and Jonesing is a great all-seasons color. LAX is another deep color, reminiscent of Creature. I love to throw it on for a vamp look during the Fall and Winter.
