WINTER DRAB = RESORT FAB
Now, at the tender age of 30, am I understanding the importance of packing it up and hitting some sun as soon as the Northeast winter becomes intolerable. You need to take a break to protect your sanity! So when Catherine's asked me join them in Playa Del Carmen, I jumped at the opportunity. Fun babes Rochelle and Maddy, resort clothes, and beautiful scenery? Sign me up. 
The first thing we did when we arrived? We ran straight to the pool and grabbed some drinks! We did not come to play with the prints and patterns, grab my purple swimsuit here.
Day two started off with a relaxing AM yoga session by the spa. I don't take the time to actually stretch when I'm home, so I really needed this!
We then ventured out to town to shop and see what the local culture was like. It was so beautiful. As soon as we stepped out of the car, we were right on the beach. The sun was shining on a wedding at a chapel, there were little shops everywhere, and people were just enjoying their day. I envied them - NYC is never that relaxed.
Next up was jet-ski and chill, which we were all super excited for. I hadn't been on a jet ski since my trip to Puerto Rico!
This black bathing suit is the sexiest I have felt in a long time, it's so divine. And as a bustier woman, I need support and this delivers.
For dinner, we ventured to the fancier of the restaurants at the resort, so I donned my version of an LBD with a beautifully studded shoulder that I lived for. This dress was so soft and so chic, it was perfect to catch the beach breeze as we ate. It was everything.
The next morning was a chill one - we rode our bikes across the resort to grab a bite to eat. What I didn't know at the time was that I'd completely forgotten how to ride a bike! LOL. But I got into the swing of it.
...and then more water sports! Not pictured here? Me completely freaking out and coming back to the boat - I've never been good at snorkeling!
Later that night was a much more relaxed dinner - so I wore a nice, simple shirt tucked into the nicest pair of pedal pushers I've worn in a while. They hugged every curve and I was so comfy for the rest of the night. Wonderful way to end the day.
The next morning we kept it chill as we waited to head back home. This was a trip of a lifetime! A big thank you to the Catherine's team - Kellie and Kate, you ladies are the best. Rochelle and Maddie, I couldn't have imagined two more beautiful ladies to run away with! And super talented Christina Emilie, thank you for capturing these moments so vividly for us.
